Woodpecker Goodrich Cathedral Oak Herringbone Installation in Wimbledon

Alba Flooring supplied and installed Woodpecker Goodrich Cathedral Oak herringbone in the living room of a property in Wimbledon.

We began by uplifting and disposing of the original laminate flooring before mechanically fixing flooring grade plywood across the existing timber subfloor.

The plywood was then primed and finished with a flexible fibre reinforced smoothing compound to achieve the desired SR1 subfloor, creating the ideal base for the new flooring installation.

We then installed 23.5 square metres of engineered wood in a herringbone format, delivering a timeless and elegant finish to the space.
