Amtico Form Matlo Oak Large Herringbone Flooring Installation in Kingston Upon Thames

Alba Flooring supplied and installed 20m² of Amtico Form Matlo Oak in the large herringbone format at a property in Kingston Upon Thames.

The project involved preparing an existing floor that incorporated underfloor heating, requiring specialist subfloor preparation and installation methods to ensure long-term performance and stability.

To achieve the required SR1 finish, we primed the existing smoothing compound before applying a new layer of flexible underfloor heating compatible smoothing compound.

This created a smooth, level, and durable foundation capable of accommodating temperature fluctuations from the heating system while providing the perfect base for the new flooring installation.

Once the subfloor preparation was complete, the Amtico Form Matlo Oak flooring was installed in a striking large herringbone pattern using Amtico HT Extra Adhesive.

This high-temperature adhesive was specifically selected to work alongside the underfloor heating system, ensuring maximum bond strength and durability.

The finished installation delivers a timeless parquet aesthetic combined with the practicality, comfort, and performance of premium Amtico luxury vinyl flooring.
